Every spring, Tigers fans convince themselves that this might finally be the year. The young players are ready. The pitching looks promising. The lineup has potential. The front office has a plan.

Then the games begin.

T Is for Trying is a humorous alphabetical journey through the highs, lows, legends, heartbreaks, rebuilding years, and unforgettable moments of being a Detroit Tigers fan.

From Almost to Zero, each letter captures something familiar to anyone who has spent a summer watching baseball in Detroit.

Remember the greats.
Relive the glory.
Laugh at the heartbreak.
And try not to think too much about the blown leads.

Along the way, you'll encounter Tigers legends like Alan Trammell and Justin Verlander, as well as the trades, managers, playoff disappointments, rebuilding projects, and questionable decisions that have made being a Tigers fan such an entertaining emotional roller coaster.

Because Tigers fans have learned an important lesson:

Hope is easy in April.
September is where the real test begins.

Whether you've been a Tigers fan your entire life or simply inherited the condition from your parents, T Is for Trying is a nostalgic, sarcastic, and affectionate tribute to the team we keep believing in.

Because no matter how many times the Tigers break our hearts...

There's always next year.
